Vintage Postal Desk

• Vintage.
• Found in a flea market in Beaune.
• Made of steel. 
• Constructed in two parts - the cubby hutch sits on top of the desk.  
• Many, many removable shelves fit into the cubby hutch.
• Desk:  32d x 59.5w x 28.5" h.  
• Hutch sits on top of the desk, leaving 18.75" of work surface.  
• Hutch:   13" d x  46.5"  h.  Each column of shelves is 11" W
• Overall height  75" H

 Editor's notes

This stately piece was once a sorting desk in a French post office.  It's made of sturdy steel, and we've preserved the original finish that shows all its marks of time and use in a French Bureau Postale.  The hutch and base are slightly different shades of neutral to give it an even more soulful appearance.  It's a showpiece for the dining room to hold china or barware, or for the office to hold supplies.
